Methods On How Achieve Successful Swollen Gums Treatment

Severe periodontal disease cannot be treated by brushing alone. Surgical intervention is needed when gum or periodontal disease has already advanced to a more serious stage. Bacteria is causing total damage to the tooth and gums and thus causing redness, swollen gums and gum recession. Various surgical procedures may be done depending on the degree of the disease. Bacteria can be eliminated with pocket reduction which is essential in preventing further damage. To reverse some damage by regenerating lost bone and tissues by bone-graft that facilitates the body’s capacity to regenerate bone and tissues again and reduce pocket depth in the tooth, regeneration procedure is recommended. The success of these treatments can be achieved if the dental patient associates it with balanced diet, a good program of oral hygiene and regular dental cleanings.
