Special preparations are needed before the treatment for gum disease?

Your dentist or periodontium can perform most of the proceedings from his office. The time it takes to make these procedures, your degree of discomfort, and you need time to heal vary from patient to patient depending on the type and extent of the procedure and your overall health. With some treatments may be given a local anesthetic to the area to try to sleep. If needed, you can give a medication to help you relax. This information comes from the Cleveland Clinic and is not his intention to replace the advice of your physician or health care provider. Please consult your health care provider about a few specific medical condition.
